Haunting History Tour at the Georgia Lunatic Asylum

As the days grow shorter and autumn settles in, we invite you to experience history in a whole new way with the Haunting History Tour at the Georgia Lunatic Asylum. The evening begins and ends at the Central State Hospital Museum at The Depot, where guests will gather before setting out on a walking tour of the former Georgia Lunatic Asylum–Central State Hospital grounds. Guided by historian and award-winning photographer Jessica Whitehead, participants will explore the complex and sometimes chilling history of this storied institution. Along the way, you’ll hear compelling stories of the people who lived, worked, and were treated here.
